AMEC’s vision is to be a leading supplier of high-value consultancy, engineering and project management services to the world’s energy, power and process industries. Their services are focused on designing, managing the delivery of, and maintaining strategic and complex assets such as offshore oil and gas production facilities, metals or mineral mines, or power infrastructure.

Our brief was to work alongside AMEC's web development company to provide search engine optimisation consultancy. Our job as consultants on the project was to make sure that the developers built the Careers area on the website with search engines in mind. Our main objective was to build a website that would gain high rankings on Google and other major search engines.

In order to do this N2 had to advise on how the website was coded, how content was developed and how the website structure was composed. Additionally N2 researched the market and key competitors to assess how the AMEC website could achieve its objectives. N2 also helped to devise a project plan for the integration of the existing AMEC job posting facilities into the website.

The outcome is that now the AMEC careers website can challenge as a job board across all search engines and save a large amount of advertising costs when looking for new candidates. Ultimately N2 will be providing ongoing consultancy and further optimisation services as the website is improved and upgraded.
