Microsites

Microsites

A microsite, also known as a minisite or weblet, is a term referring to an individual web page or cluster of pages which are meant to function as an auxiliary supplement to a primary website.

They are typically used to add a specialised group of information either relating to a specific product range or editorial content. These sites can be linked into the main website in order to generate higher traffic and exposure for a specific product or service.

A microsite can form an integral part of a specific marketing campaign as the target audience will receive only the information they require initially. Microsites can also be exceptionally useful when performing data capture and measuring campaign success.
